About this job

Vietnam Airlines is hiring type-rated A320 Captains via FCI on a 4-year renewable contract. Pilots are based in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City or Da Nang and choose from a range of commuting rosters.

Roster

Commuting; choice of 17 patterns (e.g. 6x2, 3x1, 9x3, 8x2, 10x2, 12x1, 4x4)

Accommodation

45 nights hotel on arrival; help finding housing

• Salary paid in USD to the bank account(s) of your choice
• Training allowance USD 110 a day from day 31 of ground school until work permit, up to 2 months

Pay and benefits in the advert

Pay: Guaranteed basic monthly salary in USD (amount not stated); USD 120 an hour flight pay once 35 of the 70-hour monthly norm are flown; USD 90 per diem per flying day

• Local income tax paid by the airline, with tax certificate
• Worldwide medical insurance incl. maternity, evacuation and pre-existing conditions
• 10 ID90 tickets a year for pilot and family, plus ID75/ZED
• Economy tickets upgradable to Business each off-duty period
• 45 nights hotel on arrival with breakfast and lunch
• USD 200 monthly telephone and stationery allowance
• 100 kg excess baggage at start and end of contract
• 7 days paid sick leave every 6 months

Selection process

1. Online interview (held weekly)
2. 1-2 day written exam and pre-medical in Hanoi (air tickets provided)
