Local contract

No pilot pay figures published. Local pilot salaries are contracted in USD; in 2023 the Airline Pilots' Guild of Sri Lanka said the airline paid them in rupees at capped exchange rates (LKR 188, then 225, then 295 per USD) well below the Central Bank rate, that pay was cut by about half during COVID-19, and that SriLankan pays among the lowest pilot wages in the region (Daily Mirror, Jun 2023). Direct-entry First Officers join on a one-year fixed-term contract with possible absorption into the permanent cadre.

Expat contract

Brookfield Aviation expat offer (Nov 2023): two-year renewable contract; package includes type, accommodation and settlement allowances, per diem, overtime and block-hour pay, relocation and repatriation, children's support allowance, staff travel, annual and sick leave, visa/work-permit help, medical scheme, accident and loss-of-licence insurance. No figures published.
