Jeju Air: pilot jobs, pay and conditions

South Korea · Low-cost · 7C / JJA

Hiring status unknown

Part of the AK Holdings (Aekyung Group) group

No open pilot vacancy found in 2026. Jeju Air is taking more B737-8s (two delivered Feb and Mar 2026, five more planned by end of 2026) and ran general and cabin crew recruitment in 2026. Rishworth has in the past recruited expat B737NG captains for Jeju Air on commuting contracts, but that advert is undated and no live one was found.

No captain or first-officer pay figure was found in an airline, union, agency or press source. Asia Economy/Aju News (18 Jul 2024) wrote that Jeju Air's average pilot pay sat roughly KRW 10-15 million a year below rival Korean LCCs, which had raised pilot pay after COVID, and that about 20 pilots left between late 2023 and July 2024 for T'way, Eastar Jet, Air Premia and Middle Eastern and Japanese carriers. Bizwatch (Jun 2023) noted the flight-crew union was still in its own wage talks after other staff received a 10% rise in January 2023; all-employee average pay was about KRW 44 million in 2022 (not pilot-specific). A Rishworth expat B737NG captain advert (via AviaCV, undated) gave no figure, only a 3-year renewable contract after training, accommodation allowance, annual bonuses and medical/loss-of-licence cover. DART business-report flight-crew averages could not be retrieved. Second search pass (Nov 2026) still found no pilot-specific figure. For context only: Korea Financial News (2 Apr 2026, from business reports) put Jeju Air's all-employee average pay at KRW 57 million (2023), 65 million (2024) and 71 million (2025); these include cabin crew and ground staff, so they are not pilot pay.
