Mainline widebody and 737 roles are filled through Fiji-citizen direct-entry adverts on the airline's careers site and through expatriate contracts recruited by Pacific Aircrew Services (PAS), with Rishworth and Brookfield also listing Fiji Airways A330/A350 roles. Fiji Link (ATR72-600, ATR42-600, Twin Otter) hires ATR and DHC-6 pilots, mostly via PAS. No pilot vacancy was live on vacancy.fijiairways.com on 2026-11-01. In 2020 the airline released all expat pilots and cut pay by 20%; expat recruitment resumed later.

No pay figure for local (Fijian) pilots was found: the Fiji-citizen captain adverts give no salary, FALPA has published nothing, and no tribunal award covers pilot pay. The 2023 annual report puts total payroll at about $130m for 2,051 staff and says salaries are being aligned to the Hay grading scale. Aviation A2Z (20 May 2026) quotes starting base pay of about USD 6,200 a month for FOs and USD 10,600 for captains, but gives no source and does not say which contract it covers. Monthly base by year of service: rated FO NZD 10,208 / 12,124 / 13,212; CCQ-candidate FO (A320/A340/A380 FOs converting) NZD 9,722 / 11,547 / 12,583; captain NZD 17,428 / 17,780 / 18,016. On top: accommodation allowance NZD 2,240/month, flight-duty pay NZD 10/hour after 12 months, and excess-flying pay for block hours over 70 a month. 3-year auto-renewing contract (first contract 1 year for CCQ candidates because of the work permit); commuting allowed on a 20/10 or 18/12 pattern. The advert text was read on job-board copies (AviationCV, Avianation), not on the agency site itself.
