Amerijet International: pilot jobs, pay and conditions

United States · Cargo · M6 / AJT

Not hiring

About 40 pilots (roughly 20% of crew) were furloughed on 28 Feb 2026 when the three Maersk-owned 767s Amerijet flew on transpacific routes were sold and the Maersk deal ended on 1 April 2026. The airline had already cut from a peak of 22 aircraft and returned all 757s in 2024; it added one 767-300BCF in Dec 2025 (10 converted 767s). Older First Officer adverts on job boards show as closed. New hiring is unlikely until furloughed pilots are recalled.

No openly published pay table found. Pay is set by the first ALPA contract, ratified June 2023 with a three-year term and raises of almost 45%; FreightWaves wrote that a 12-year captain would go to more than $300,000 a year. Airline Pilot Central lists 3% raises on 26 June 2024 and 26 June 2025 but no base rates. Pilots on Airline Pilot Central forums in May 2023 quoted new-contract captain rates of $224/hr (year 3) and $240/hr (year 5), against $162/hr for a 5-year captain under the old terms; these are forum figures only, pre-date the 2024/2025 raises, and no FO rates were given. Guarantee is 74 hours per month (13 bid periods). International flying adds $5/hr for captains and $3/hr for FOs.
